About Beta of Clovia
Beta of Clovia is an academic and social sorority located on the St. Paul campus of the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Founded in 1937, Clovia originally enabled college girls with 4-H backgrounds to live together while attending university. Through the years, Clovia has grown to include young women of many different backgrounds who participate in community service projects, a variety of campus activities and work to achieve high academic merit while studying at the University of Minnesota.
The spirit of Clovia began in 1930 with a handful of women who shared the same ideals and the warm bonds of fraternity and friendship. It has continued and grown through the years, involving many women across the nation in its bonds of sisterhood.
Beta of Clovia helps young women cultivate leadership skills, gain a sense of social identity, promote a sense of sisterhood, and engage with the community through service. Our members work to pursue life with Beta of Clovia’s seven purposes in mind.
